Saved, Healed and Delivered

The Good News In Death Gospel

The art of communication is being understood, and words are a form of communication. However, there needs to be a common understanding of the meaning of the words used. In linguistics, when two words from different languages sound the same but have a different meaning, these words are called false friends because they lead to confusion in translation. The religion of Christian tradition taught in modern churches is full of false friends but because the theologically trained blind guides (BGs) of religion are wise in their own eyes, no-one is any the wiser. Take for instance the word salvation. The salvation taught in many modern churches is the afterlife, life after death, escaping hell and going to heaven when people die. It is a “good news in death” gospel.

What Salvation Really Means

Jesus himself declared the real meaning of message of salvation to the Apostle Paul on the Damascus Road when he spoke in Hebrew from the throne of His father David in Heaven. Heaven or indeed hell were not mentioned, because this was not part of Paul’s culture. He said in Acts 26:18 (KJV) that he was sending Paul to the nations to “… open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me”. Having the eyes of the heart opened by the unmerited grace of God to the amazing love of God’s fatherhood, being delivered from the lying powers of darkness, being forgiven, healed and then sanctified or set apart to receive the paradise of the light and love of God’s fatherhood or Holy Spirit eternally filling the heart; this is the original gospel of the election of sovereign grace announced to Abraham in Genesis 12. This is God’s blessing of Abraham, this is the redemption or revival of a Father-Son relationship, this is what was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. This is what it meant to be saved, and this is what the devil wants to prevent. He wants people to continue to bear his image by them being broken-hearted, captives to sickness and sin, and filled with his rebellious lying breaths or evil spirits. He does not care what religion of tradition people follow so long as they are not sovereignly inspired to become blameless Sons of God, shining out like stars in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. He does not want all the world to see just how wonderful Father God, who dwells within the loving hearts of the Sons of God, really is.

Peace With God

John the Baptist prepared the way for the coming of Jesus by proclaiming the end of the “eye for an eye” Law of Moses which saved Israel from sinners but not sinners from sinning. It also proclaimed the beginning of the ministry of Jesus which would redeem Yehovah’s corporate Son from everything to do with sin, sinning, and the Fall. The gospel of salvation immediately followed John’s baptism into repentance for the forgiveness of sins. It is being saved out of the devil’s oppressive hand, being saved out of sinning, sickness, brokenness, fears and, as the Sons of God, being enabled to walk in the ways of “shalom” or peace and serve God in righteousness and holiness all the days of one’s life. In Hebrew, “shalom” means contented success and happiness in all things; it was not the “peace” of the absence of war.

The Salvation of Resurrection Life

Salvation is becoming the living personality of God’s ideal Son by having a heart filled with the life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood and as such, bearing His name by behaving like Him in every circumstance of life. Abraham’s Umbrella

Have you ever heard of Abraham’s umbrella? Abraham’s what? Abraham’s umbrella. If you would like to find out what it is, keep on reading. Modern western culture is an individualistic culture; it is all about me, my life, my beliefs, where I go, what I do, what I own, where I live, and what happens to me when I die. The ancient Hebrew culture of the Bible was not like that; it was a corporate culture. The people of Israel formed a corporate collective which God saw in its totality. The people of Israel were in covenant with the God of their fathers; those that kept the terms of that covenant were under the corporate covenant-covering and automatically recipients of covenant-promised blessing. It had nothing to do with any particular individual, their life, their beliefs, or what they did. As long as they kept the terms of the covenant, they were part of the corporate totality of covenant-keeping Israel. That meant that they were heirs of the covenant blessings according to the promise. They had come under and were living beneath the covering of Abraham’s umbrella. This in turn guaranteed that for them, God would automatically keep his covenant promises. It had nothing to do with anyone’s life, or prayers, or beliefs, or creed, or personal religious observances or indeed anything about them individually. David said in Psalm 105:1-15 “O give thanks unto the Lord [Yehovah]; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Remember his marvellous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth. He has remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: Saying, unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm”.  David wrote this psalm about and for the people of Israel, those who were living under the corporate totality of the blessing of the everlasting covenant promise. David is calling the covenant-keeping people to corporately rejoice in the wonderful works of Yehovah God for them. These wonderful works were promised by God to the seed or sons of God’s servant Abraham, confirmed to Issac, and again promised to the sons of Jacob; those that God had chosen. God promised them the land of Canaan as their inheritance and allowed no man to harm them. God said touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm. God called Abraham, Isaac and Jacob his prophets and his anointed ones. In Greek, the root of the word anointing is chrio, this is the root of the word Christian in English. The Patriarchs were the original Christians or anointed ones who lived under the covenant-covering or saving anointing of God’s Holy Spirit. This is the blessing or grace of the unmerited and unearned favour that God promised to Abraham. This blessing is the gift of God’s Holy Spirit that fills redeemed hearts and enables people to live in the presence of Holy Spirit power where overcoming victory in every circumstance of life is absolutely guaranteed. This same blessing promised to Abraham was for all the families of the Earth. It was this blessing that was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. Those that fulfil the terms of God’s covenant form a corporate totality who come under the sovereign grace of God’s unmerited and unearned blessing of Abraham, the covering or anointing of God’s Holy Spirit. This is Abraham’s umbrella.

What does it mean practically to come under Abraham’s umbrella? Coming under Abraham’s umbrella has nothing to do with the pride of individual prayers, or individual beliefs or any kind of individual religious confessions or creed, or religious observances, prayers or liturgies. It is about being brought humbly under the covering of covenant-promised blessing by becoming part of the corporate totality of spiritual Israel. In Hebrew, the word Israel means a prince with God and in John 1:47 Jesus described Nathaniel as a true Israelite in who there was nothing false or deceitful. Those that humbly come under the corporate covering of the promised blessing automatically receive the fulfilment of God’s promises. As we have already seen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were Yehovah’s anointed, and this saving anointing brought these Patriarchs overcoming victory and success in every circumstance of life. King David was also known as the Yehovah’s anointed. David had come under Abraham’s umbrella; he was anointed with the same blessing or covenant-covering that Abraham received. David had a heart after God’s own heart and apart from a brief period of rebellion, David obeyed God and wholeheartedly served the purposes of God all the days of his life. What did this saving anointing do for David? It brought true salvation of overcoming victory in every circumstance and difficulty of life. David said in Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgive all thine iniquities; who heals all thy diseases; Who redeems thy life from destruction; who crowns thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;  Who satisfies thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s”. This is what the anointing did for David. This is true salvation; it was not conceptual or imaginary. It was practical and real. David had humbly come under the umbrella of Abraham’s blessing. Through the saving anointing of Yehovah God, David was living in the true salvation of the present tense Pentecostal fulfilment of the new covenant promises that God had made to Abraham. God loves individuals but works in corporate totalities. David was part of the corporate totality of the spiritual Israel. The benefits that David was praising God for, the forgiveness of sins, healing of diseases, a life redeemed from destruction, a crowning of love and tender mercies, a mouth satisfied with good things, these are the benefits that anyone and everyone can receive who come under the corporate totality of the covenant-covering of Abraham’s umbrella, including you. This is true salvation. This is living in the undeniable power of resurrection life. Abraham’s umbrella, Abraham’s blessing, Abraham’s anointing was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. It says in Romans 4 that Abraham believed God and God credited Abraham with righteousness. For Abraham, believing had nothing to do with any form of ritual or rite, a religious ceremony or theological or conceptual confession or agreement with an intellectual creed, dogma or rote. The Hebrews saw everything in totality. For Abraham, believing was of the heart. Believing was an all-consuming lifestyle of absolute and implicit obedience to the personal call and living word of promise spoken to him personally by the eternal life’s breath or Holy Spirit of the paradise of Yehovah God’s fatherhood. Those that respond to God’s personal call like Abraham did, those who believe like Abraham did, those who are inspired by God’s blessing to obey like Abraham did, those who receive the same Pentecostal anointing as Abraham did will automatically receive the fulfilment of the covenant promises and benefits of true salvation from pride, sin, sickness, Satan and even death. They will live in the undeniable redeeming power of resurrection life and will receive an eternal inheritance within the dwelling place or City of God, the New Jerusalem. Yehovah in Hebrew means I AM and is the personal name of God. The words Jesus Christ in English are from the Hebrew Yehovah-Yasha Mashiach. These words mean literally I AM YOUR SAVIOR, THE ANOINTED ONE. Yehovah God was born as the Son of Abraham and the Son of David in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, Yehovah’s Mashiach, Messiah or Anointed One. Jesus is the ultimate heir of all of the covenant promises that he as Yehovah God had made to both Abraham and David during their lifetimes. Jesus came under the superabundant saving anointing of Abraham’s umbrella to bind the broken-hearted, give recovery of sight to the blind, release the captives, set the prisoners free and proclaim the day of Yehovah’s favour. John the Baptist came to invite people back under Abraham’s umbrella by them repenting from their sins, being baptised into repentance and being forgiven and then trusting or believing in the One (this is one of the names of God) who was to come (Jesus). Jesus is the Lamb of God who was numbered with the transgressors and died a dreadful cursed death on the cross so that his shed blood could reverse the devastating curse of the Fall when he rose from the dead. Jesus was then glorified by Yehovah God on to the throne of his father David, and received from Yehovah God Abraham’s umbrella, the gift or anointing of the Holy Spirit that was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. This is the fulfilment of the new covenant promise that God made to Abraham.

Of course, the benefits that David was praising God for, the true salvation of the forgiveness of sins, healing of diseases, a life redeemed from destruction, a crowning of love and tender mercies, a mouth satisfied with good things are the benefits that pretty much everyone would want. And yet, within the established religion of church tradition, nobody gets. Unless of course there is a revival. Why not? As the good news of Jesus spread across the culturally Greek Roman Empire, those that heard the gospel did not understand it. They interpreted everything that they heard about Jesus in the light of their essentially pagan demon-worshipping culture. They were ignorant of the scriptures and how important the Hebrews like Abraham and David were in the fulfilment of the purposes of God. They had no interest in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the great and precious covenant promises that God made to them, and they did not participate in the divine nature. In fact, they imagined that people like Abraham and David were irrelevant, backward, ignorant and uncultured people that knew nothing of the far more advanced wisdom and superior philosophies of those who were culturally Greek. Knowing almost nothing about the Bible, they made up their own jigsaw Jesus with parts of the Bible they did know but filled in any gaps in their woeful ignorance of the scriptures and the real Jesus with a collage of images and ideas taken from their own essentially pagan Greek worldview. And they made up their own good news of being saved in death gospel. And so, the religion of established church tradition was born. It was absolutely not founded upon the apostles and the prophets with Mashiach Yehoshua or Christ Jesus as the chief cornerstone but established by the Roman Emperor Constantine and his successors and the culturally Greek church councils that they convened. From David’s perspective this is nonsense. David experienced true salvation and lived in the undeniable power of resurrection life. He was saved again and again in life by God anointing David with the Holy Spirit. This enabled him to live in the presence of power where the true salvation of overcoming victory was guaranteed. David lived with his sins forgiven, his diseases healed, his life redeemed from all destruction and was crowned with love and tender mercies; he was the Lord’s anointed. This is what the word Christian meant in the New Testament. This is true salvation, what it means to be truly saved. This has absolutely nothing to do with the good news in death salvation of Constantine’s church establishment. When you understand with your heart what true salvation meant to David, and how the saving anointing enabled him to live in the undeniable power of resurrection life, and you are inspired by God’s Holy Spirit to fulfil the covenant-conditions the way he did, God will do the same for you what he did for David. Guaranteed. This is true salvation. To find out all you need to know about true salvation click , here.

First Love

The First Commandment: Love God

Within ancient Hebrew culture, the word “first” meant far more than just “first”. In many tournaments or races there are consolation prizes for the losers who do not win, but there can usually only ever be one actual winner. The word “consolation” comes from the Latin “consolari” which meant to offer solace or comfort to the losers who are disappointed that they did not win. It says in Mark 12:28-31 (KJV) “And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, ‘which is the first commandment of all?’ And Jesus answered him, ‘The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is One Lord:  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these”. Hebraically, the first commandment to love God with all of one’s heart, soul, mind, and strength was not just “first” in rank, but like the winner of a race, it was the “first” commandment because it was set above all others. Jesus said to the Church of Ephesus in Revelation 2:4-5 (KJV) “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou have left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent”.

Religious Losers with Loveless Hearts

There are no consolation prizes for losers with loveless hearts in the Kingdom of God. God is love and those who live in love live in God and God lives within them. The Ephesians had been winners who had lived in God, but they had become religious. By faith alone, they had become losers by embracing religion and therefore forsaking and forgetting their first love. Jesus said in John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; according as I did love you, that ye also love one another; in this shall all [the world] know that ye are my disciples, if ye may have love one to another”. Jesus threatened to come and remove the lampstand of the light of God’s love from amongst them because the world no longer knew that they were Jesus’ disciples. They were no longer shining with the light of God’s love but because of the the religion of their tradition they had become enamoured with themselves. However, Jesus promised that those who repented from the “I am as god” pride of this self-love and overcame by returning to their first love, would be given the right to eat from the tree of life that is in the paradise of the love of God’s fatherhood. Those who did not repent would lose that right despite their religious faith-boasts and claims.

Heavenly Hearts

The Scribe who heard Jesus speaking about the first commandment of all replied in Mark 12:32-34 “‘Well, Teacher, in truth thou has spoken that there is One God, and there is none other but He; and to love Him out of all the heart, and out of all the understanding, and out of all the soul, and out of all the strength, and to love one’s neighbour as one’s self, is more than all the whole burnt-offerings and the sacrifices.’ And Jesus, having seen him that he answered with understanding, said to him, ‘Thou art not far from the reign of God;’” Within ancient Hebrew culture the reign or kingdom of God or Heaven was not something that people experienced after they were dead. Jesus was not saying that this particular Scribe was somehow loitering at death’s door. Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:3,5-6 “If anyone may not be born from above, he is not able to see the reign of God…If any one may not be born of water, and the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the reign of God; that which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit”. Hebraically to see something was to experience it. Jesus was not talking about entering the reign or Kingdom of God by dying and going to Heaven. He was talking about experiencing the Kingdom of God by dying to pride in the waters of baptism and then being born of the eternal life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood. In Matthew 12:28 Jesus said, “But if I, by the Spirit of God, do cast out the demons, then come already unto you did the reign of God”. The kingdom or reign of God or Heaven was within people’s hearts (see Luke 17:21). It was within the hearts of those who had repented from having self-admiring pride-poisoned puffed-up loveless hearts which only love those that love them and that were filled with the lying breaths of the prince of darkness and father of their rebellion. Instead they had the nature of their hearts changed by dying to the self-adoration and pride of self-worship and then being born of God’s love. It was then that Heaven filled people’s loving hearts. In Mark 9:47-50 Jesus said “….And if thine eye may cause thee to stumble, cast it out; it is better for thee one-eyed to enter into the reign of God, than having two eyes, to be cast to the Gehenna of the fire—where their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched; for every one with fire shall be salted, and every sacrifice with salt shall be salted. The salt is good, but if the salt may become saltless, in what will ye season it? Have in yourselves salt and have peace in one another’”.

Hearts of Hell

The word “Gehenna” in Greek is the “Valley of Hinnom” in Hebrew, this was the local rubbish dump in Jerusalem where fires were not quenched, and worms continually ate the carcasses of the dead. The word “Gehenna” is often translated “hell” but that is not what Jesus was referring to. He was referring to Isaiah 66:23-24 “And it has been from month to month, and from sabbath to sabbath, Come do all flesh to bow themselves before Me, said Yehovah. And they have gone forth and looked on the carcases of the men who are transgressing against me, for their worm die not, and their fire is not quenched, and they have been an abhorrence to all flesh!” Jesus was talking about those who continue to wilfully rebel and transgress against the loving commandment of God to love God and love everyone else as well. That is why Jesus said in Matthew 5:44-45 “Love your enemies, bless those cursing you, do good to those hating you, and pray for those accusing you falsely, and persecuting you, that ye may be sons of your Father in the heavens, because His sun He doth cause to rise on evil and good, and He doth send rain on righteous and unrighteous”. Jesus was talking about the sons of rebellion or disobedience. He was talking about the religious community, people like the Scribes, Pharisees, and Teachers of the Law whom Jesus described as sons of the devil because they were full of hatred and bore the devil’s image or reflection in the way that they were inspired to behave. According to Luke 7:30, they rejected God’s purpose for themselves by not allowing the mercy and grace of God to lead them to John the Baptist to be baptised into repentance for the forgiveness of their sins. In the pride of their self-admiring “as god” hearts they could not see the need for forgiveness. There is no repentance in resurrection, the time for repentance and forgiveness is now. Because they did not believe or were established in the character, personality, or name of Jesus (see John 3:18) they remained under condemnation. Their behaviour in life will become their inheritance in resurrection. Just like Cain, the fires of their incensed rage at being condemned will not be quenched and the worms of their resentment that eat away at their self-admiring and loveless hearts will never die.

Loving from the Inside Out

Before the Fall, Adam would not have needed any commandments or laws. God is love, and Adam would have lived in love because God lived within Adam. It was only after the Fall, after Adam gasped out God, died to God’s love and replaced God’s love for him with the pride of self-adoration and idolatrous self-love that commandments were needed. That is why Paul said in Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit [breath of God’s fatherhood] is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law”. The Scribes, Pharisees, and Teachers of the Law who repeatedly confronted Jesus did not realise that if they had to be told to love from the outside-in, they were not sovereignly inspired by the grace of God to become Sons of God. The Sons of God live in love from the inside-out just like Jesus because He lives within them and they live within Him. That is why Jesus said in John 3:16 “for God did so love the world, that His Son—the only begotten—He gave, that everyone who is believing in him may not perish, but may have eternal life”. Hebraically, eternal life was not life that began after people had died, and “believing in” meant to become established “within” Jesus and sharing in his identity as the Son of God by being filled with the eternal life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood. That is why he said to Mary, as recorded in John’s gospel, on the day he rose from the dead “…be going on to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and to your God”.

The Way of Love

Hebraically, as people walked through life they breathed, and as they breathed they spoke and accomplished words. The collection of their words or works as they habitually walked on the pathway of life were their ways, and the totality of their words and ways (or character, behaviour, and accomplishments) and everything else about them constituted their name. God is love, and the Sons of God are called by the name “the Sons of God” because they live in love. They follow the way of love because God is love and God will dwell within their loving hearts by the power of His eternal life’s breath or Holy Spirit, forever. Leaven of Hypocrisy

Leaven in Bread

In English, the word leaven comes from the Latin “levare” which meant to lift or raise and referred to a substance added to dough to produce fermentation. Within the ancient world, it was discovered that certain foodstuffs, such as milk, wine and bread could be improved and also preserved by allowing and encouraging the natural process of fermentation. One of the commonest sources of fermentation is yeast which is found naturally as bloom on the surface of fruit and vegetables. Because of this, in warm climates, grape juice naturally ferments producing wine. Smaller traces of natural yeast can be found on the surface of cereals such as barley and wheat. Given the right conditions and sufficient time, when mixed with water, milled cereals often naturally ferment. Being able to add some form of yeast would improve the process but ancient bakers did not have the luxury of being able to buy yeast down at the local convenience store. Their most convenient source of yeast for bread making was using leaven, a small piece of unbaked leavened dough that is mixed in to the fresh dough before it is baked. It was in effect a small piece of “yesterday’s lunch“. As yeast is a living entity, todays “daily bread” was the same living bread that was passed down from the fathers, day after day as each batch of dough was made. Today that kind of bread is commonly known as “sourdough“.

Leaven of Tradition

The word orthodox comes from the Greek “orthos” meaning right or straight, and “doxa” meaning praise and within the realms of religion, it is the praise of right tradition. Religious theology taught in modern churches is nothing more than the study of orthodox tradition. In Matthew 15, the Scribes and the Pharisees came to Jesus to complain that his disciples were transgressing or breaking the orthodox theology of the elders, the leaven of religious tradition handed down from generation to generation. They accused the disciples of eating bread with ceremonially unwashed hands. In Matthew 15:2,6-9 (KJV) Jesus replied “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?….you have made the commandment of God of non effect by your tradition. You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying ‘These people draw near with their mouth, and honour me with their lips; but their hearts are far from me. But in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men’“. Jesus described these religious leaders, who claimed to know God but by their actions denied Him, as hypocrites.

Leaven of Theology

The word hypocrisy comes from the Greek “hypokrisis” and meant acting on the stage, or playing a part or pretense. In Matthew 16, Jesus and his disciples got into a boat and travelled across the lake, but the disciples had forgotten to take bread. Jesus was not concerned about the lack of bread but the disciples obviously were and they became confused about what Jesus was saying to them. Eventually, Jesus said in Matthew 16:11-12 (KJV) “How is it that ye do not understand that I spoke it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.” The Pharisees taught that when God gave Moses the Torah or Written Law on Mt Sinai in the Book of Exodus, he also gave Moses a traditional verbal law that was not written down (at that time) but instead handed down verbally from the fathers, from generation to generation, from Rabbi to Rabbi, just like the orthodox theology taught in modern churches. Jesus likened this to the sourdough starter or leaven of bread dough, and described such hand-me-down tradition as, hypocrisy. Jesus said in Luke 12:1-3 (KJV) “Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.” The religion of the elders was to excuse bad behaviour on the basis of their beliefs and faith in keeping the leaven or teachings of orthodox religious theology.

Leaven of Orthodox Hypocrisy

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 “Know ye not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth“. After the Fall, Adam and Eve sewed leaves together to make coverings for themselves that were acceptable in their own eyes. In the same way, the leaven of the religion of the great “I am” pride of self-worship passed down from Adam and Eve sews together coverings of theoretical righteousness and conceptual arguments of religious reasoning that attempts to make the leaven of malice and wickedness, the fruit of fallen hearts, acceptably hidden in the sight of God. It is commonly taught within the realms of church tradition that originally, because of the Fall, people’s biggest problem was God or more specifically the anger and wrath of God. “If only God wasn’t so angry with greed and selfishness, how happy we would be” people could say. And so, it is commonly taught within the realms of church tradition that before Jesus died on the Cross, God the Father, the first person of the Holy Trinity or Godhead was absolutely besides himself with rage; that he was enraged because of sin. Tradition goes on to say that God the Son died on the cross to change God the Father; that God the Father’s presumed rage was taken away by God the Son on the cross. Religious tradition teaches that for those who believe, sin doesn’t matter any more because God imagines that it is not there by theoretically or theologically crediting people who believe with the righteousness of Jesus. This truly is, orthodox hypocrisy, and the leaven of religious hypocrisy works right through the whole batch of dough. John said in in 1 John 4:7-8, 10 “Beloved, may we love one another, because the love is of God, and everyone who is loving, of God he has been begotten [born], and does know God;  he who is not loving did not know God, because God is love…this is the love, not that we loved God, but that He did love us, and did send His Son a propitiation for our sins”. The word “propitiation” is from the Latin “propitius” which meant to seek, strive after, rush towards, or make good. The propitiation of religion makes good by offering theoretical righteousness; it pretends that right beliefs transform the presumed furious rage of God towards the objects of his wrath into a peaceful sea of tranquility but leaves adulterous fallen human heart full of the leaven of malice and wickedness untouched. Through the passover sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, the propitiation of relationship transforms hearts from the inside out. It purges out the old leaven of the natural born darkness of orphan-hearted fallen humanity passed down from Adam and transfigures people into those who are born of the unleavened eternal life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood.

Leaven of Creed

The word creed comes from the Latin “credo” meaning, “I believe“. A Creed, or Rule of Faith, or Symbol, is a confession of faith for public use, or a form of words setting forth with authority certain articles of belief, which are regarded by the leaders of Church Religion as necessary, both for salvation, and also for the well-being of the Church. However, Jesus did not come to establish the “faith” of yet another world religion. He did not come to establish the creed, tenet or dogma of theological orthodoxy and yet that is what the Church teaches. Jesus came to establish relationship; a father-son relationship with Almighty God. God is love, and those who live in love live in God and God lives in them. The Sons of God love because Jesus loved them first and God as a Father dwells within their hearts by the power of his life’s breath or Holy Spirit. That is why the Apostle Paul said in Galatians 5 that the ONLY THING that matters is “faith expressing itself through love“. Love is at the heart of true faith in Jesus, not the leaven of this religious thing called creed. If people truly love the Lord their God with all of their mind, strength and heart and their neighbor as themselves, their creed, whatever it is, doesn’t matter. However, if they embrace the orthodox creeds of religion with open arms but live their lives with loveless hearts they are not following Jesus whatever they say they believe. Their hearts are still leavened with the great “I am” pride of malice and wickedness. One day, everyone will rise from the dead and the hearts that people die with are the same hearts that they will rise with. Those that die with hearts leavened with the great “I am” pride that came from the Fall will rise with them and their hearts will stay like that forever. Their own personal worm will not die and the flames of their own personal fire will not be quenched because these things dwell within their own hearts. There is no repentance in resurrection.

Unleavened Hearts of Love

Those who born of God are born out of love. They are the seed or Sons of God and they bear the fruit of their Heavenly Father’s kind because God Himself dwells within their hearts. They live in love and everything about them becomes love because God first loved them; this love propitiated their stony hearts leavened with malice and wickedness to have new unleavened hearts that love like Jesus loves. One day, everyone will rise from the dead. Behaviour in life will become inheritance in resurrection; the heart that people die with they will rise with. That is why it says in 1 John 4:16-17 (KJV) “And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world”. Religion changes heads but through relationship, the grace of God changes hearts. Bad behaviour is the absence of God’s blessing, it is sowing to the flesh and mocking God. God cannot be mocked; despite what the hypocrisy of orthodox tradition teaches, what people sow, they will one day reap. The goodness of God can make a bad tree leavened with malice and wickedness good; it is the goodness and the grace of God that leads people to repentance. Good trees bear good fruit; good men bring good things that are treasured up within their hearts. That is why it says in Ezekiel 36:26 (KJV) “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God”. Again, Jesus said in Luke 12:1-3 (KJV) “Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.” The blind guides of religion are not following Jesus, they just think they are. Just thinking is of course, hypocrisy. That is why Jesus said in Luke Chapter 8 “Take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.” Millions have been betrayed by the theological “just thinking” religion of orthodox hypocrisy in which they trusted, but if you follow your heart and not your head, you won’t be one of them.

The orthodox religion of church tradition has misrepresented God. If you would like to understand more of what the Bible actually teaches and find out how to experience the truth of the paradise of God’s fatherhood filling your heart forever, then click, here.

Son of Man

Cain: Adam’s First-Fruit

God originally created Adam in God’s own image, personality or reflection by breathing into Adam’s heart the eternal life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood. Hebraically, Adam was the original Son of God. However, when Adam and Eve chose to reject the fatherhood of God and embrace the fatherhood of the Serpent, the devil or father of lies, they gasped out their hearts the eternal life’s breath of God. They were no longer the Sons of God. They simply became living dust, living natural lives that worked the cursed ground of their fallen personalities that eventually died. Because of his sin, Adam bore his own image and to a greater or lesser extent the image of the Serpent instead of the image of God. He bore the fruit of the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life that came from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Scripture states that Adam bore a son in his own image; the image of himself instead of the image of God. Sons bear fruit after their father’s kind because the life of the father dwells within the heart of the son to bring forth his fruit. The first-fruit or first-born son of Adam was Cain, the Son of Man or Adam. Within ancient Hebrew culture, the first-fruit was important because within the first-fruit was seen the totality of the whole; if the first-fruit was good, the whole harvest would be too. We know from scripture that Cain was actually the first murderer upon planet Earth. Because of the Fall, apart from the grace of God, everyone that has ever been born except Jesus to a greater or lesser extent shares the nature or natural life of Cain that came from fallen Adam and Eve, and if provoked have the same capacity to bear evil fruit.

Cain Worked For Admiration

It says in Genesis 4:1-5 “And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell“. Cain drew his own sense of identity, value, honour, self-worth and self-respect from the admiration and praise of both himself and others. By the sweat of his brow, Cain tilled or “worked” the ground of his earthly personality to make a great “name” for himself that was worthy of praise.

Cain Worked For Love

Just as Adam and Eve worked to sew leaves together to make coverings for their “self” that were acceptable in their own eyes, Cain brought an offering that was a self-admiring “work” what was acceptable to him because it was the best that he could do. Just like the Pharisees who cleaned the outside of their cups leaving the inside stained with sin, Cain “worked” to present a false image of acceptability to earn the admiration, acceptance, and respect of Almighty God. It was not a love-gift that was freely given to God out of a loving relationship. God is love, God loves because it is the character and nature of God to love. God’s love is unconditional, it absolutely does not depend upon people being loveable. However, Cain said within his heart “I am the greatest, no one is greater or better than me“. Cain’s pride had blinded him to everything except himself and he could not receive the unconditional love of God. Instead of being transfixed or captivated by the glory, love, and unmerited grace of God, he was held captive by the pride of self-admiration. If he could not earn love, he did not want it because something “earned” was valuable and real, steadfast, and sure, dependable and worth trusting which made his own “name” great. A gift of love did not have the same appeal to his self-admiring heart because God’s unconditional love was not something that Cain’s pride could understand.

Pride Chains God’s Unconditional Love

For Cain, the gift of God’s unconditional love seemed like foolishness because it honoured the behaviour, character, personality or great “name” of the giver instead of Cain’s best efforts. Even though God never failed to love Cain, quite supernaturally, God refused to accept the obligation to give admiration and respect to Cain and honour the offering brought by the sweat of his brow. In love, God wanted to freely give Cain the gift of His grace, to make his “name” great by freely blessing Cain and lifting him up. But as long as Cain “worked” for God’s blessing and worshipped both himself and the work of his own hands, the unconditional love and unmerited grace of God was effectively in chains. Cain could not receive what God wanted to freely give him. Cain was incensed that his best efforts to effectively force God to accept him had been spurned. He had personalised his offering. He was furious that the “marvellous” offering of his “marvellous me” had been rejected. He felt that God had dishonoured, disrespected or undervalued his now, not so great “name“.

Everyone’s Favorite Religion

Everyone’s favourite religion is the pride of self-worship. Pride says in its heart, “I am the answer, I can earn. I will make myself acceptable, I can achieve. I can prove myself, I will win“. Those who are proud of heart can never receive the unconditional love of God because they cannot accept that God’s love for them is not dependent upon them earning, winning, achieving, performing or being lovable or worthy. Proud-hearted people try to earn something that cannot be earned and by their own self-efforts attempt to win something that can never be won. Pride is like a deadly blood-sucking leech that puffs up its sense of identity and self-worth by feeding upon the appreciation or respect of its own “self” and the admiration or praise of others. In English, the word image comes from the Latin “imaginem” and means a copy, imitation or likeness, and the word idol comes from the Greek “eidolon” which meant the same thing. Those who are proud at heart worship the reflection of their own image. They consider themselves superior and must maintain that image of superiority at all costs, otherwise they cannot be accepted, respected, honoured, appreciated or loved. Feelings of murderous hatred and revenge are aroused against anyone or anything that threatens to wound in any way the image of their own acceptability; the image of the great “name” of their own superior and adorable “self” which is held so dear.

The Pride of Self-Worship

There is a direct relationship between the pride of self-worship, faith or confidence in self, hatred and murder just as there is a direct relationship between humility, faith or confidence in God and the ability to receive God’s unconditional love. That is why John said in 1 John 3:11-15 (KJV) “For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death. Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him“. Pride is all sweetness and light to those who pander to its cravings for praise but explodes into the furious rage of its own true murderous nature when its thin veneer of respectability is damaged in any way. This of course is often hidden behind a smile. In his “as god” heart Cain tried to save the pride of his life by justifying himself in his own eyes. He passed judgement upon his brother as being worthy of death for showing him up and undervaluing or belittling his great “name“. However, the problem was not Abel and his offering, or God and His refusal to pander to Cain’s self-effort. It was Cain and his pride that was the problem, and in the pride of his heart, the solution was murder rather than sacrificing his pride upon the altar of humility. He compensated for his wound by reasserting himself; in a fit of rage he murdered his brother.

Restless Wandering Forever

The murder of Abel did not solve the problem but made it infinitely worse. Cain left the presence of Yehovah to live in the land of restless wandering with his pride still intact. The fires of his incensed rage were never quenched, and the vengeful worms that ate away at his fallen heart never died. Cain’s restless wanderings never ceased because the fallen human heart does not have the victory within itself. The fallen heart cannot and will not change because within itself it is hopeless. It does not have the victory within itself, but the overcoming victory must somehow be won because behaviour in life will become inheritance in resurrection.

Humility Unlocks Paradise

Humility is the key that enables God to unlock the door within people’s hearts to the paradise of God’s fatherhood. For the humble hearted, everything is possible because they find that ever increasing faith rises within their hearts as they are filled with the amazing and unmerited grace, paradise, or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood. That is why Paul says in 2 Corinthians 2:14 “…and to God are thanks, who at all times is leading us in triumph in the Christ, and the fragrance of His knowledge He is manifesting through us in every place“. Pride is the blindness of heart that imagines that paradise is when everyone sings its praise. When people do not, hellish hatred soon follows in its wake. It says in Proverbs 14:12 (KJV) “There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” and in Jude 1:10-11 (KJV) “…as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain“. The way of Cain is the way of pride. It is a way that seems right to a man but ends in a death sooner than people think.

True Redemption

Redemption in Church Tradition

The art of communication is being understood, and words are a form of communication. However, there needs to be a common understanding of the meaning between the speaker and listener of the words used. In linguistics, when two words from different languages sound the same but have a different meaning, these words are called false friends. The religion of Christian tradition taught in modern churches is full of false friends but because those who are theologically trained don’t understand the ancient Hebrew culture of the Bible, no-one is any the wiser. Take for instance the word redemption. The redemption taught in many modern churches is the afterlife, life after death, escaping hell and going to heaven when people die. It is a “it will be great when you are dead” redemption.

Counterfeit Relationship

The Church religion of tradition is counterfeit relationship; many have been deceived by tradition and betrayed by the religion in which they trusted, because religious tradition cannot change people’s hearts. It says in Genesis 6:5-6 (KJV) “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart”. The fallen human heart has not changed and apart from the sovereign mercy and grace of God it cannot change. Jesus called God “Abba, Father”, this was an expression of relationship, not religion. It was this relationship that was lost at the Fall and that Jesus came to restore by dying everyone’s death so that He could bring people’s hearts full circle back into the paradise of God’s fatherhood, being inspired by unmerited grace to live in the power of His resurrection life.

Religion Changes Heads Not Hearts

The religion of Church tradition cannot change hearts and so it attempts to change heads. The religion of tradition claims to teach the way, the truth, and the life but the redemption of tradition is not the same as the redeeming truth of the glory of God’s sovereign grace that changes people’s hearts and sets them free. When people are still bound, often secretly, their hearts do not yet know the truth despite what they may have been taught by the religion of tradition to think. Tradition teaches that God is absolutely beside himself with rage. It teaches that things like right incantations, creeds, spells, rites, priests, articles, theologies, observances, sacrifices, ceremonies or beliefs about the Cross of Christ somehow change God and magically transform the ocean of God’s rage into a peaceful sea of tranquility, offering a license to excuse bad behaviour and opening the door to life after death. The truth is that God is full of grace and mercy, slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness. It is bad behaviour that makes God angry because God can see the dreadful effects of sin upon the hearts and minds of the people that He loves.

Relationship With God Lost

Within ancient Hebrew culture, redemption meant something brought back round full circle. Adam did not fall like lightning from heaven, redemption was not Adam dying and going back full circle to heaven. In the paradise of Eden, Adam and Eve became “as god” within their own lives by disobeying God and eating forbidden fruit. They exchanged the truth of God’s love for them with their own love for themselves. Their eyes were opened to the pride of self-determination, self-admiration and self-worship. They said within their hearts “I will decide for myself what is good or evil, I will decide for myself what is right or wrong”. They died to God by gasping out the breath of God’s life. They were no longer the Sons of God. Instead, they became self-worshipping fallen living dust, living natural puffed-up pride-poisoned lives and they eventually died. This was the foundation of the corporate son of Belial, the City of Babylon or world. The inhabitants of Babylon naturally follow the ways of this world and are subjects of the prince of the power of the air, the father of lies who is unknowingly at work in the breathings of their personality.

Relationship With God Redeemed

Redemption brings things round full circle by exchanging the lie of honouring and serving the creature back to honouring and serving the Creator, the Blessed One from whom all blessings flow, forever. In Galatians 3:1-3 (KJV) Paul says “O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” Within ancient Hebrew culture, the word of God was spoken by the breath or Holy Spirit of God. Like the sails of a ship, Hebraically, faith is establishing the breath of the living word of God within the breathings of one’s personality or heart. This redeems the heart. It changes people so that they call God “Abba, Father” and become the living personality of God’s ideal Son together with Jesus. That is why Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 1:10 “…ye did turn unto God from the idols, to serve a living and true God, and to wait for His Son from the heavens, whom He did raise out of the dead—Jesus, who is rescuing us from the anger that is coming”. Behaviour in life will become inheritance in resurrection. Those that have the sails of their hearts filled with the breath of God’s fatherhood are inspired by the election of grace into behaving like Jesus by living and walking in the light of God’s love. This qualifies them to be counted worthy to experience the First Resurrection when Jesus is revealed from the heavens at His second coming.

Be Truly Redeemed

What Is Truth?

The art of communication is being understood, and words are a form of communication. However, between the speaker and the listener there needs to be a common understanding of the meaning of the words used. Otherwise, the result isn’t communication but confusion. In linguistics, when two words from different languages sound the same but have a different meaning, these words are called false friends because they lead to confusion in translation. The religion of Christian tradition taught in modern churches is full of false friends but because the theologically trained teachers of religion don’t understand the ancient Hebrew culture of the Bible, no-one is any the wiser. Take for instance the word truth. The BGs of religion teach that their particular brand of theological tradition is the truth and woe betide anyone who dares to suggest otherwise.

God Speaks Absolute Truth

In Hebrew, the word commonly translated “truth” comes from the word “amen” or faith, meaning to build or establish something like a pillar or bridge that actively supports the weight that it holds. Within the ancient Hebrew culture of the Bible, words were things both said and done by the breath of one’s life. Words are a form of communication and an action. When God wants to do something, He says it. He speaks His word by the almighty breath or Holy Spirit that dwells within Him and that proceeds from Him as he Fathers the words that He speaks. If nothing happens, it is not God who is speaking. When God speaks, the presence of his words of living breath, filled with the breath or Holy Spirit of God’s eternal life, is called light or “day”. The absence of the living words of God is called darkness, or “night”. God spoke the word “Son” and breathed himself completely and totally into the body of Jesus, the incarnation of God, fully man and fully God. That is why Jesus is called the light of the world.

The Devil Speaks Lies

The devil, or father of lies, offers a lying alternative to the absolute truth of the living word of God. The devil has established a kingdom in darkness based upon the natural light of the sun, moon and stars but with an absolute absence of the light of the living and loving words of God. Regarding the devil, Jesus said in John 8:44 (KJV) “…He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” The devil speaks lying words by his evil breaths or spirits. In Hebrew, the word translated “soul” means literally a personality or “breathing being”. The devil’s words of lying breath and false promises attempt to establish a kingdom within the hearts and the breathings of the personalities (or souls) of those who believe them. These living lies or lying breaths or evil spirits become incorporated into the foundation or woven into the fabric of people’s hearts or personalities as truth if they are believed and established as if they were true. They are ultimately not true, but they are very real, so real in fact that they can create such a living hell within people’s hearts that the recipient can be driven to commit suicide and even murder.

Relative Truth

In John 18:38 (KJV) Pilate asked Jesus, “What is truth?” The father of lies would answer “the truth is whatever you accept, agree with, or believe is true”. That is, of course, a lie. The devil’s so-called truth, or deep secrets, do not set people free. When Adam and Eve were deceived into sinning in the garden of Eden by believing the serpent’s lie of the freedom to become “as gods” by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they grasped equality with God and rejected the ultimate and absolute truth of the living words that God had spoken. Instead they partnered with the father of lies to decide for themselves what was good or evil, true or false, right or wrong. They said in their hearts “I will decide what is right for me, I will decide how I will live, I am the ultimate authority in my life, no one is greater than me”. Ever since the darkness of the Fall, in the pride of their fallen hearts, people have decided for themselves what they consider as “truth”. Their own relative or personal truth comes from the culture that they are born into, their upbringing, whatever religious traditions or beliefs they may hold and their own personal past. Hebraically, truth is of the heart, not the head because as a man thinks within his heart, so he is. It has nothing to do with any form of philosophical or conceptual religious or traditional beliefs. People live what they really believe, people display or reflect their inner understanding of what they think is true in the way that they behave and experience life.

Living In The Truth

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He did not come to establish the so-called truth of the Christian religion or Creed of Church tradition but rather the truth of relationship, a Father-Son relationship with God that all peoples everywhere can share. If you would like to understand how to escape the false-friend shackles of the Christian religion of tradition, truly understand the Biblical meaning of the word truth, and enjoy a Father-Son relationship with Almighty God that lasts forever, then click here. Millions have been betrayed by the religion in which they trusted but you won’t be one of them. You won’t be disappointed like they are.

Hope That Does Not Disappoint

The Faulty Hope of Religious Tradition

The art of communication is being understood, and words are a form of communication. However, there needs to be a common understanding of the meaning between the speaker and listener of the words used. In linguistics, when two words from different languages sound the same but have a different meaning, these words are called false friends. The religion of Christian tradition taught in modern churches is full of false friends but because the theologically trained teachers of religion neglected to find out about the culture of the world into which Jesus was born, no-one is any the wiser. Take for instance the word hope. The hope taught in many modern churches is the afterlife, life after death, escaping hell and going to heaven when people die. This, say the teachers of Church religion, is where the Father’s house is. The Father’s house is the fairytale castle in the sky where faithful Churchgoers who have prayed the sinner’s prayer and believe the creeds and dogma of their own particular denomination or brand of Church religion go when they die.

Hope in the Bible

In Hebrew, one of the words commonly translated “hope” means to bind to something with a cord, and to live in the longing expectation of something good happening. Originally, within the Hebrew culture of the Bible, their hope had nothing to do with dying and going to heaven. In Luke 2, Anna the prophetess was hoping for the redemption of Jerusalem and Simeon was looking for the consolation (“paraklesis” or comforter in Greek) of Israel. In Mark 15, Joseph of Arimathea was waiting in hope for the Kingdom or Rule of God or Heaven upon the Earth. In Luke 24, on the road to Emmaus, Jesus’ disciples were hoping that Jesus would redeem Israel back to Supremacy and in Acts 17, 23, and 24 Paul’s hope was resurrection from the dead. This was the original Messianic hope that the Kings and Prophets of old hoped for. This hope will be realised at Jesus’ second coming when He, as the Son of David, will establish the Kingdom of Heaven upon the Earth. That is why it says in 1 Peter 1:13 “Wherefore having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly upon the grace that is being brought to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ”.

The Hope of Inheritance

For Abraham and the ancient Hebrews, their natural hope was to father a son in their own image and likeness so that their son could perpetuate their generational seed line by bearing their image, reflection, character, behaviour or name in the next generation of sons. In order to do this a Hebrew son was given his father’s provision, protection, presence, and purpose and ultimately his father’s blessing. Jesus said in John 14:2 “In my Father’s house are many rooms”, and just as the unborn sons lived in the house of their father’s body before they were born, the father’s true sons became their father’s house, and through their house or home, the fathers lived on. The true son was the embodiment or branch of the name or vine of his father if he bore the same fruit as his father in life. He did this by embracing his father’s God and his father’s purpose, behaving just like his father in every aspect of that life. Abraham fathered Isaac in his own image and likeness and gave Isaac his blessing and the inheritance of all that he owned so that Isaac could bear witness to Abraham and the wonderful fatherhood of God in the next generation of sons. In Hebrew, the word blessing meant a gift brought on bended knee, and the true son inherited his father’s blessing just as a father had an inheritance within the house of his true sons. Paul said in Ephesians 1:11-14 “in whom [Christ] also we did obtain an inheritance, being foreordained according to the purpose of Him who the all things is working according to the counsel of His will, for our being to the praise of His glory, even those who did first hope in the Christ, in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth—the good news of your salvation—in whom also having believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise, which is an earnest of our inheritance, to the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory”. An inheritance was something that could not be earned, but it could certainly be lost by sons who disqualified themselves by not behaving like their father, cutting themselves off from their father’s vine. As such they did not bear the fruit of their father’s name. The earnest or guarantee of the living hope of an inheritance in God is the life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood that changes people’s hearts by inspiring them to love as Jesus loves. This redeems the life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood back into their hearts that was lost at the Fall. Those who live in love live in God; their hearts become to God an acquired or purchased possession that becomes God’s eternally inherited possession at the First Resurrection (see Revelation 20:5). However, it is only those who are counted worthy that are called by Jesus the Sons of Resurrection (see Luke 20:35).

The Hope of Relationship

Jesus did not come to establish the hope of the Christian religion of Church tradition but rather the hope of relationship, a Father-Son relationship with God that all peoples everywhere can share. Inheriting Sonship

The Father’s House

When Abraham the Hebrew told Terah his father that a god that Terah did not know told Abraham to leave his father’s house, to go to a far off land to receive a Father’s blessing and become a blessing to others, his father would have taken this as an unspeakable insult. It would have resulted in a cataclysmic eruption with a magnitude rivalling that of Krakatoa. It would have left his father in a state of bewildered frenzy and Abraham with ringing in his ears. This is because for the Hebrews, fatherhood and sonship were of primary importance and within their culture, a true son was the house of his father. This is because he was the image or reflection of his father, he bore witness or testimony to the blessing of his father’s name in the next generation of sons. This was that their hope of eternal life. They knew nothing of the relatively modern Church gospel of escaping hell and going to heaven when they died.

The Sons of God

The word sonship comes from the word “son” combined with the word forming element “-ship”. Sonship means the power, condition, action, quality, position, or mandate of a person that enables them to act as a representative and under the authority of his father. Someone bears the name the “Son of God” and occupies the office of “Sonship” when they become the visible image or reflection of the invisible God. This happens when they have a change of fathers, a change of heart, a change of life’s breath or spirit, and therefore a change of destiny. The personality of their life’s breathings or name is completely filled by a perfect knowledge of the indwelling presence and love of the eternal life’s breath, blessing or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood. This is the blessing of God as a Father upon Abraham, His adopted son. It was this blessing that was poured out upon the true Sons of God on the Day of Pentecost.

“‘Beloved, now are we the sons of God.’ Sonship! What is the reality of it? God gives it as clear as anything. If sonship, heirship; if heirship, joint heirship. But look at the tremendous power behind sonship. Son power, joint power, all power. There you come into it. Dare you let the power of God make you see your inheritance in the Spirit? God in the soul making the whole body cry out for the living God! Attaining to a place where God becomes the perfect Father and the Holy Spirit has a rightful place now as never before.”

Smith Wigglesworth

The Paradise of God’s Fatherhood

The Sons of God will not be judged at the Judgement of the Great White Throne which follows the general resurrection at the End of Days. The wrong things that they do will not be openly declared at this Final Judgement for all the world to see but are a personal matter between Father and Son and dealt with by the corrective discipline of a loving Father, day by day as they walk through life together with Jesus. At the End of Days, the Sons of God will enter into the rest of God and experience the paradise of God’s fatherhood eternally dwelling within their hearts. Just as flames of fire have authority over anything flammable, the second death will have no authority over them because there will be nothing in their hearts worthy of God’s judgement fire. Their consciences will not condemn them because they did not live according to the flesh, but according to the life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God’s fatherhood. The outward sign or seal of their purity of heart was the worthy way in which the blessing of God had inspired them to live. Their behaviour in life will become their inheritance in resurrection. God was their behaviour in life, God will become their inheritance in resurrection. God will eternally reward these Sons of God with Himself. This is what it means to inherit sonship.

Moving In Miracles

The Syncretism of Christian Church Tradition

Different people groups from different ages and cultures all have a different understanding of what they consider to be good news that fits into their tradition. When different cultures mix, belief systems evolve and the mixing together of different beliefs and traditions is called syncretism. The modern gospel of corporate Christianity, the good news of heaven rather than hell when people die is a product of syncretism. There is no doubt that God uses this modern cultural gospel of escaping hell and going to heaven when you die but this is not the original good news of God. It is the product of the mixing of different cultural beliefs.

Hell Is A State Of Heart

The ancient Greeks believed in a place called Hades, the underworld or the realm of the conscious dead. They believed that when people died, their soul descended into Hades to be ruled over by the gods of the underworld. And so, when they heard about Jesus and his teaching about the worm that does not die and the fire that is not quenched, they assumed that hell was Hades gone bad, full of worms and fire. They came up with the notion that everyone descends into this Hades or hell when they die except those with a faith in the religion of Christian tradition. It says in Isaiah 66:22-24 “As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure. From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,” says the Lord. “And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.” The fire of hatred is the seed that grows within people’s hearts to bring forth the evil fruit of murder just as the worm of lust is the seed that grows within people’s hearts to bring forth the evil fruit of adultery. Hell is not a place; it is a state of heart. One day everyone will rise from the dead and the heart that people die with is the heart that they rise with. What is within people’s hearts when they die will remain within their hearts forever. The good news is heaven in your heart today, not heaven when you’re dead. Since Jesus rose from the dead, those with redeemed hearts do go to heaven when they die. But the worm that does not die and the fires that are not quenched are the evils that dwell within the rebellious and unrepentant hearts of the living dead forever not a physical place called hell.

God’s Fatherhood Rejected

In the same way, the ancient Greeks had no interest in experiencing the fatherhood of God. They had no interest in the culture of the ancient Hebrews, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the twelve tribes, the prophets, psalms and the promises of God. What interested them was an understanding of the so-called Christian God by looking through the distorted lenses of their own religious culture and tradition rather than experiencing God personally, and hence was born this religious pursuit called theology. According to the Oxford Companion of the Christian Church, although not found in scripture, the Holy Trinity is the central dogma of Christian Theology in that the One God exists in Three Persons and one substance. This doctrine is held to be a mystery. Although it was not revealed in the Bible, this mystery can be neither known by unaided human reason apart from revelation nor demonstrated by reason after it has been revealed, but it is not above reason as it is not incompatible with the principles of rational thought. This is a prime example of religious syncretism. The ancient Hebrews, the people like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob wanted to experience God practically. The ancient Greeks wanted to understand God theologically, they had no interest in Jesus as a man with a perfect Father-Son relationship with God. This was the relationship that Adam and Eve originally had with God before they sinned in the Garden of Eden. It is this relationship that Jesus wants to share with you and me. That is because God as a Father became his own Son in the person of Jesus of Nazareth to establish sonship for the Sons of God. The Greeks replaced Jesus’ identity as the Son of God with God the Son and called Him the second person of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with the other members of the Trinity that fitted in within their essentially pagan religious cultural beliefs. That is why Christmas Day is celebrated at the time of the winter solstice, the rebirth of the Roman God, Sol Invictus (the Unconquered Sun), the Sun God, or was it God the Sun? The winter solstice (or standing son) was one of the most important pagan festivals within the calendar of the Roman Empire. It was simply rebranded “Christian“.

The End of Every Revival

Paul said in Galatians 3:1-4  “You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Have you experienced so much in vain—if it really was in vain?” At the end of every revival is the restoration of the religion of tradition. The Galatians were experiencing the revival or resurrection life of Pentecost. They were experiencing Sonship, a father-son relationship with God. But as always happens with every revival, the great men of religious tradition came and put the revival to death. The religious hypocrites persuaded the Galatians to exchange the truth of God’s fatherhood for a lie, to worship the creature instead of the creator.

Replacement Theology

The devil is the father of lies, he is like a waiter in a restaurant. He waits on tables of religious orthodoxy, taking away relationship and replacing it with the theology of religious tradition. He takes away the children’s bread of signs, wonders and miracles and replaces this bread with the junk food of tradition and the false promise of good news in death. In every aspect of life, the devil offers religious lies in exchange for God’s truth. Jesus taught that if a man looks at a woman lustfully, he has committed adultery in his heart. The devil teaches that no man could ever not be lustful if the woman is pretty enough, so Jesus died on the cross so that religious hypocrites could continue to have eyes bulging with lust but be considered righteous by faith alone and go to heaven when they die. But Paul said in Ephesians 5:3-7 “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore, do not be partners with them.” Seems clear enough to all except those who have been theologically trained.

Heart To Heart With God

The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 3:5-9 “So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who have faith are sons of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.” Everything can be seen in two different ways, from the head or from the heart, from the realms of religious tradition or an established heart to heart relationship with God. The faith of religion is of the head, the faith of relationship is of the heart. The faith of religion is the creed and theology of religious tradition. It is a reasoned out intellectual pursuit and the best that it can offer is the salvation of good news in death. The faith of relationship is a heart full of the life’s breath or Holy spirit of God’s fatherhood where rivers of living water flow and praises rise up continually.

The Jewel In Satan’s Theological Crown

The scripture “Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness” is a jewel in Satan’s theological crown. Why? Because Satan teaches that the Cross of Christ changed God, that those who believe in the creeds and doctrine of religion are considered theoretically righteous by God through faith alone. In this, they are saved from hell once they are dead. The blessing of Abraham was a Father’s blessing, the same blessing that was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. God called Abraham out of his natural father’s house into a Father-Son relationship with God. This is what Jesus meant when he said to Nicodemus in John 3:3 that “unless people were born of God, they would not see the Kingdom of God”. Being born of God changes or saves people’s hearts. It changes their nature to become like God in true righteousness and holiness. It is the blessing of true righteousness from the inside out, not a change in God’s attitude towards selfishness and sin for those who are deceived by the tradition of their religion into thinking that by faith alone, anything goes.

God’s Garbage Collector

Jesus said in John 7:37-39 “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.” The Spirit was given on the Day of Pentecost. And so, Sunday by Sunday, God comes to his people, but religion prevents him from being received. Oh yes, people are taught to pray the sinner’s prayer but they are not allowed to drink from the fountain of life. Individuals within Churches thirst after God but the leaders of religious hypocrisy ensure that nothing ever happens, and nothing ever changes. That is why revivals never come through the established institution of creed, denomination, or religion of theological orthodoxy. They come through humble hearted nobodies who long for a father-son relationship with God. This opens the wells of revival, rivers of living water flow from within their hearts. However, revivals never last, the leaders of religious hypocrisy rise up and stop up the wells. Religious leadership attracts hypocrites like garbage attracts flies. The devil is God’s garbage collector; someone has to take out the trash. The devil deceives the rebellious, those who love the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life, into following him to his ultimate doom and also theirs. Those who share in Satan’s pleasures will also share in his punishment whatever religion teaches them to believe. Still, the Spirit has been given, and anyone can open the wells of revival if they unstop the wells of their own hearts blocked by creed and religious tradition and then come to Jesus and drink.

A Theologically Distorted Jesus

Corrective spectacles are prescribed to people with eye problems to help them to see clearly. The culture of religious tradition prescribes the spectacles of orthodox theological tradition to its adherents who are required to wear them in order for them to see or think in a prescribed and particularly religious way. Generation upon generation of culturally Greek religious theologians have added more and more lenses to the traditional spectacles resulting in a view of what is considered by the Church to be true and yet becomes more and more distorted and further from the truth. The Bible says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever but the Jesus of Church religion is a different Jesus, a theologically distorted Jesus whose amazing grace has been shackled by the chains of Church history. That is why within the realms of the established religious order there are no miracles, signs or wonders. In fact, the only wondering people do is, “why does Jesus not do now what He did then?“.

The Blessing Rejected

A few years ago there was what is described as the Toronto Blessing or the move of the Holy Spirit. This was God sovereignly kick starting a father-son relationship with Himself. This is the blessing of Abraham and the anointing of kings originally poured out on the Day of Pentecost. People travelled from all over the world to experience this Pentecostal blessing, and this blessing moved into many churches. The religious leaders tolerated and, in some cases, enjoyed this move of God for a season, but as always happens, the religious hypocrites and Pharisees in positions of man-appointed leadership rose up and put it to death. In just one example of many, there was a large bible-week held towards the end of the so-called move of the Spirit. Thousands of people attended, and many churches were represented. Many were blessed, saved, healed and delivered. Towards the end of one of the weeks, it was time for the much-loved leader of that particular group of churches to speak. As he got up to speak, the Holy Spirit came down. God timed it perfectly. With much laughing and hilarity, those who were thirsty for God started to drink from the fountain of life. This great man stood on the platform with a rather surprised smirk on his face. He had something important that he wanted to say, but God had something important that He wanted to do and annoyingly, God had interrupted his message. Rather than co-operating with God, this great man stood, raise up his hands, and waving towards the door, asked those who had come to Jesus to drink to leave and encounter God outside. Those who were thirsty for what this great man was going to say but not thirsty for God stayed behind and gave the preacher a round of applause. This prophetic act was the beginning of the end of the move of God in those churches. One by one, the leaders of religious hypocrisy rose-up and stopped up the wells of the resurrection life. They said in effect, “No-one can live like that” and these religious hypocrites breathed a sigh of relief; the Pentecostal blessing of resurrection life was stamped out of their meetings and the same old life after death religion returned to those churches. However, individuals still enjoyed this blessing, and anyone can unstop the wells blocked by these religious hypocrites who claim to know God but by their actions deny him. Jesus said, if anyone is thirsty, let them come to me and drink.  We can do it now.

The Devil Has Stolen Our Miracles

So, what about miracles. Paul says in Galatians 3:5 “Does God give you his Holy Spirit and work miracles among you…”. Where are the miracles? Why is what we read about Jesus in the Bible so far from the experience of the average person who attends Church on a Sunday? Why do we sing “My God is so big, so strong and so mighty there’s nothing that God cannot do” when actually God does next to nothing? It’s ridiculous. People are crying their eyes out every day and dying in their hearts and it seems like God doesn’t lift a finger to help them. Religion teaches people to pray and believe, but nothing happens. That is because the so-called believing faith of religion is of the mind and not of the heart. The faith of religion is a “believing stick” that attempts to merit a miracle by prodding God out of his presumed persistent vegetative state. God is not a faith puppet, hanging by the strings of tradition that attempts to pull his heartstrings. Religion pipes up but God will not dance, religion murmurs a mournful song, but God will not weep. God will not allow his unmerited sovereign grace to be shackled by the religious faith of natural man. And so, using religion the devil has put the grace and mercy of God in chains. By changing the definition of who God is and what it means to be saved, the devil has stolen our miracles.

The Divorce Of Word And Spirit

So again, Paul says in Galatians 3:5 “Does God give you his Holy Spirit and work miracles among you …..”. Where are the miracles? Religion claims to have the spirit but has no miracles because religion divorces the word of God from the life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit of religion is the third person of the Trinity, co-equal and co-eternal with the other two persons of the Godhead, God the Father and God the Son, who have existed across all space and time in one community of three. The Holy Spirit of relationship is the eternal life’s breath of God’s fatherhood. On the day that Jesus rose from the dead he appeared to his disciples and said “As the Father sent me, so I am sending you and he breathed upon them….” (See John 20:21) How did the Father send Jesus? He breathed him out. Jesus is the incarnation of the life’s breath or personality of God, fully man and fully God. Jesus said, “As the Father sent me, so I am sending you and he breathed upon them and said receive the Holy Spirit”. The Holy Spirit is the eternal life’s breath or personality of God. God wants to breathe His personality into your personality, to integrate his Holy Spirit or personality into your heart and that will bring us our miracle. God always confirms his word with signs following because God himself dwells within the words that he speaks. If nothing happens when the so-called word is preached, it is the word of man and not the word of God.

Moving in Miracles

In Matthew 15:21-28 there is an incident where Jesus delivered a Canaanite woman’s daughter from a demon. Jesus was in the region of Tyre and Sidon, and the Canaanite woman came begging Jesus to save her daughter. Initially Jesus did not reply, but at his disciples request he responded by saying that he had only been sent to the lost sheep of Israel and that it was not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs. The children’s bread was described in Acts 10:38 where it says that “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him”. This is the children’s bread. And so, the Canaanite woman replied, “Yes Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table”. Jesus responded, “Woman, you have great faith, let it be done as you wish” and her daughter was saved. This Canaanite woman knew in her heart that she would get what she asked for because God had spoken His word into her heart by his Holy Spirit. Jesus said whatever you ask for in prayer, if you believe within your heart that you have received it, it will be yours. God as a Father speaks words of blessing into the hearts of His sons which establishes within them mountain moving faith. This is because God, by His Holy Spirit, dwells within the words that He speaks. If you are in a father-son relationship with God, then healing and deliverance and any other form of blessing is your daily bread. The daily bread of religion is Bible study, the daily bread of relationship is being saved and delivered from the oppressive power of the devil every day in every way. So, just as God sovereignly moved in this Canaanite woman’s heart, so we need God to open the eyes of our hearts to see that the children’s bread belongs to us. If this Canaanite woman can respond with the words that Jesus described as “great faith” then surely if God is truly our Father, then that same God-given heartfelt faith can bring us our miracle too. The bread of Jesus body was broken on the cross to bring us forgiveness, but more than that, the bread of Jesus broken body was healed when he rose from the dead to bring us healing and deliverance. What God did for Jesus when he rose him from the dead, he did for you. All you need is the eyes of your heart to be opened so that you can see that it is yours already. Don’t let the devil steal your miracle, as Jesus said, anyone who is thirsty let them come to me and drink.  Yield your personality for God to fill.
