Foreword

Paul is a passionate follower of Jesus who thinks deeply on the origins, purposes and everlasting consequences of how we find salvation in Him. His Christian faith is infectious and heartfelt, and he is a wonderful example of someone who is prepared to challenge where he sees things differently, in order to shine a light on how we can grow in our faith.

This book is yet another example of his heartfelt yearning to introduce everyone to the transforming nature of salvation found only in Christ Jesus. It encourages us to dig deeper in our faith in Jesus by unpacking Scripture; it invites us to be bold in our conviction to grow and nurture our relationship with our Father God; it inspires us to be convicted by the Holy Spirit so that we may be transformed by the renewing of our minds. In our journey with Jesus, we need many different characters to help us think, reflect on and grow our faith. Paul is one such character and I commend this book to you.

Preface

Rat poison is poison. You know it and I know it, but the rats don’t know it. Why not? Because it is counterfeit; it is poison disguised as good food. Often rat poison is dyed an unnatural green so that in the clear light of day, people can see there is something wrong and don’t eat it. But the rats can’t see that; they live in darkness, are deceived into eating it and they die. The devil hates people, the considers them vermin, like rats. He is a deceiver and the father of lies. He knows very well that God is love and became the man Jesus who was anointed by the Holy Spirit to heal the broken hearted, bring recovery of sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, to release the prisoners and set the captives free. This was being saved in life and was the original good food good news or gospel of God. For those who were saved in life, death looked after itself. Using the established religion of church tradition the devil has poisoned the real gospel or good news of what the real Jesus came to bring. How? By poisoning the truth with lying traditions. Different people groups from different ages all have their own understanding of good news that fits in with their culture and tradition. The word tradition comes from the Latin traditionem meaning a handing down from former times. The good news of being saved in life that was experienced by the Hebrews, people like Abraham, Issac, Jacob, David and indeed all of God’s people found in the Bible had almost nothing to do with the culturally Greek life after death gospel of the religion of church hand-me-down tradition taught by the church establishment. Why? As the good news of Jesus spread across the culturally Greek Roman Empire, those that heard the gospel did not understand it. They interpreted everything that they heard about Jesus in the light of their essentially pagan and intensely religious culture. They were ignorant of the scriptures and how important the Hebrews like Abraham and David were in the fulfilment of the purposes of God. They had no interest in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the great and precious covenant promises that God made to them, and they did not participate in the divine nature. In fact, they imagined that people like Abraham and David were irrelevant, backward, ignorant and uncultured people that knew nothing of the far more advanced wisdom and superior philosophies of those who were culturally Greek. Knowing almost nothing about the Bible, they made up their own jigsaw Jesus with parts of the Bible they did know but filled in any gaps in their woeful ignorance of the scriptures and the real Jesus with a collage of images and ideas taken from their own essentially pagan Greek worldview. And they made up their own poisoned good news junk food counterfeit gospel of being saved from Hades, the underworld or realms of the conscious dead and go to heaven when they died. And so, the darkness of the religion of established church tradition was born. It was absolutely not founded upon the apostles and the prophets with Mashiach Yehoshua or Christ Jesus as the chief cornerstone. It was established by the Roman Emperor Constantine and his successors and the culturally Greek church councils that they convened, poisoned by culturally Greek pagan religious tradition.

This book, True Salvation: Living in the Undeniable Power of Resurrection Life is designed to enable the Holy Spirit to shine the clear light of truth to into the darkness of the devils lies built into the very fabric of the false and counterfeit gospel of the religious realms of established church tradition. It is a companion volume to Inheriting Sonship. Inheriting Sonship is a series of three books that came by the revelation of relationship and not by the education of religion. They are a precursor to this book and are the foundation upon which this current volume stands. The word revelation comes from the Latin revelare which meant to uncover, disclose or unveil, velare being the Latin for veil. The teaching of natural man with natural words spoken with natural breath is education. Education is the head-to-head teaching that changes heads but cannot remove the veil that covers people’s hearts. The teaching of God with supernatural living words spoken by the supernatural eternal life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God is revelation. Revelation is when God Himself does the teaching, heart to heart. He personally removes the veil and changes people’s hearts. That is why John said in 1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which ye have received of him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in him”.

The Old Testament was written in Hebrew to those who were culturally Hebrews and ancient Hebrew culture was hugely different to our culture today. The Hebrews were a people for whom fatherhood and sonship were of primary importance. In Genesis, Abraham was described as a Hebrew and God chose Abraham out of his own father’s house for him and his heirs to receive from God a father’s blessing. It was this same blessing that was for all the families of the Earth, poured out on the Day of Pentecost. What is important to understand is not what is taught within the established religion of church tradition today but what was understood by the Hebrews, people like Abraham and David, those who encountered and experienced the true salvation of God’s overcoming victory first hand. As such, an understanding of the cultural framework of the people about whom the Bible was originally written has a value of incalculable worth for those who wish to live in the undeniable power of resurrection life and as such, experience the true salvation of overcoming victory every day and in every way. As already mentioned, this book came by revelation, not once, but many times, and it does not read like a normal book; there is plenty of hesitation, repetition and indeed deviation. However, the heart is at the heart of the true gospel and as such this book will enable the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of the true gospel or good news of God to your heart, not just once but many times. What the truth did for Abraham and for David, the truth can do for you too. Once your heart knows the truth and the true good news gospel that Jesus came to bring rather than the poisoned and counterfeit gospel of tradition taught by the church establishment, you will automatically experience true salvation. You will live like king David did, described at the beginning of Psalm 103: forgiven, healed, redeemed from all destruction, crowned with love and compassion and your strength renewed like the eagles. This is living in the undeniable power of resurrection life. That is what this book is all about. May this be your blessing forever.

Please Note: Sons and Daughters

It is impossible to reconcile the cultural beliefs of the ancient Hebrews with modern culture and religious tradition but for those who are truly changed by the inspiring fatherhood of God from any age or culture, their behaviour will be the same. Within ancient Hebrew culture, sons and daughters had very different roles within the family and community, but within this book, sons and sonship has nothing to do with gender and the term the Sons of God equally applies to daughters as well. Jesus said in Luke 20:36 that those who are counted worthy to experience the first resurrection are like the angels of heaven who obviously have no gender; they are the Sons of the Resurrection and Paul said in Romans 8:19 that the whole of creation is longing for the Sons of God to be revealed.

Bible Verses

All scriptures are taken from the King James Version of the Bible unless annotated (YTL) which refers to Youngs Literal Translation. Slight modifications in grammar have been made and a few words updated. As all references are given these can be checked against the original. In the King James Version, ye is the plural of you.
