Hope Of Glory

As we have already seen, the work of the real Jesus is framed within the culture of the ancient Hebrews, and it is the fulfilment of God’s promises of blessing, sovereign grace or unmerited favour to both Abraham and David and their heirs. For those who repent from the simply superior marvellous me pride that nailed Jesus to the cross, this includes being washed, sanctified or set apart, and justified by being given the gift or fullness of the Holy Spirit. That is why Paul said in Romans 5:1-5 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us”. The love of God had been poured out into the hearts of Paul and the Romans that Paul was writing to and Paul reminded them that they were hoping in receiving the glory of God within their hearts. Paul explains in Colossians 1 that it is the Anointed One or Christ within the hearts of God’s Sons that is the hope of glory. In Hebrew one of the words often translated glory was kabod. It is a pictograph of the palm of the hand, a house and a door. It means literally what opens the inside door. It means something weighty, honourable and valuable. To be treated with great love, honour, value and respect causes you to open the inner door of your heart to those that show you such love. The opposite word to kabod was qalal in Hebrew which means to treat someone as trifling, worthless, or without any value or significance. John records Jesus’ prayer to God just before Jesus’ crucifixion in John 17. Jesus lifted his eyes to heaven and said in John 17:1,4-5 “Father, the hour is come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you”. Just as the word synergy means working together, syncretism means mixing together and describes the mixing together of different ideas and cultural beliefs from different ages and traditions. According to the champions of the hand-me-down religion of established church tradition, this prayer is remarkable insight into the inner workings of the conceptually Greek syncretistic three-part invention, the Holy Trinity. The deceived deceiving divines of tradition teach that this is God the Son, God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God, begotten of God the Father before all ages, the second person of the Trinity praying to God the Father, the first person of the Trinity and asking to be returned into some kind of pre-Adamic glorious communal Trinitarian paradise. This is not true. Within ancient Greek culture, the god Chronos was begotten by Uranus, and Uranus begot the gods or goddesses Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, Zeus and Chiron. The true God does not beget Gods, nor does the true God clone himself. God the Son is a fallacy hand crafted by the father of lies in an attempt to stop people from becoming the Sons of God. When Thomas encountered the risen Lord Jesus and saw the physical marks of crucifixion on his body, he said in John 20:28 “My Lord and my God”. What is important to understand is what was in the heart and mind of Thomas when he said that, not what can be found in culturally Greek religious goat-commentaries authored by those deceived by the hand-me-down tradition of the church establishment. It says in Isaiah 7:14 “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel”. Immanuel in Hebrew means literally God with us. It does not mean God the Son with us. Jesus is not junior Jesus, the eternal Son or Boy Wonder. To suggest that Thomas was thinking about God the Son or any other aspect of the Trinity when he said that is deception authored by the father of lies. The Trinity is a concept that belongs to a different age, people group, culture and tradition. In Hebrew the word dwelt is shakan which is transliterated as the word shekhinah. This was often associated with the tangible manifestation of the actual presence of glory of the personal presence the Lord God Almighty dwelling within the Tabernacle or Temple of God. It says in John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”. God himself spoke the word the Son of God into the womb of Mary and God was born as a man with a perfect father-son relationship with God to restore the glorious paradise of this relationship lost by Adam the first father who sinned in the Garden of Eden. Jesus became the heir of all the promises of God in the Bible. This was so that the Sons of God could receive the fulfilment of those same promises and overcome under the same life changing and heart changing anointing that enabled Jesus to overcome. That is why Apostle Paul in Romans 8:14-17 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the sons of God: And if sons, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” This is because those who are led by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God. They have received redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of the simply superior not marvellous but murderous pride that nailed him to the cross, according to the riches of his grace freely given in the One he loves. The meaning of the word grace is the same as the word blessing. It means the unearned and unmerited favour of God that he shows to his adopted Sons. Having repented from murdering the Son of God, they are born of God and their hearts become the habitation or dwelling place of the shekhinah glory and personal presence of the eternal life’s breath or Holy Spirit of God. That is why Paul said in 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 “Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”. According to Paul, Jesus is Lord, and the Lord is the Spirit. The Spirit of the Lord is absolutely not the third person of the triune Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with the other two persons of the Godhead or Trinity that exists across all space and time in one community of three.

Jesus prayed John 17:1,4-5 “Father, the hour is come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you: I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do. And now, O Father, glorify you me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was”. In this prayer Jesus is praying and asking God to reverse the effects of the Fall by, as the Son of Adam or man, being glorified with the glory of God that Adam experienced in paradise before the Fall. Jesus said before the world was, but in Ephesians 1, Paul uses the expression the foundation of the world which means the same thing. The word for foundation is katabole in Greek which means literally the throwing down. The foundation of the world is the Fall, not Creation. Jesus as the Son of Adam or man said to God as a Father glorify me with your own self. Jesus doesn’t need to be glorified, he is God. However, as a man he was praying to be glorified because what God did for Jesus, he can do for you. That is why he said in John 17:24-26 “Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world has not known you: but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me. And I have declared unto them your name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith you have loved me may be in them, and I in them”. Jesus prayed that his disciples would be with him forever, that they would be glorified together with Jesus, that Jesus would declare or impart his Father to his disciples, that his disciples would know the Father’s love, and that Jesus Himself by his Holy Spirit would dwell in their hearts forever. Jesus was interceding as a man because God gave Adam or man dominion upon the Earth which was lost at the Fall. Only a man who never sinned but paid the price for prideful sinning by being murdered but paying the price for his own murder could regain that dominion for the Sons of God. All these things mentioned by Jesus here mean the same thing. To have a heart redeemed from murderous pride and filled with the eternal life’s breath or the Holy Spirit of the paradise of God’s fatherhood is what Jesus was praying for. That is why God said to Jesus in Hebrews 1:5 “You are my Son, this day have I begotten thee. And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son.” According to Acts 13:33, this happened when Jesus rose from the dead. Why? So that what God did for Jesus when he rose him from the dead, he did and can do for you. This has nothing whatsoever to do with God the Son. According to the Nicene Creed, Jesus is God from God, begotten by God as a God before all ages. This is classic syncretism. In Hebrew, Jesus full name is Yehovah-Yasha, which means literally I AM YOUR SALVATION. Before Jesus was born, he IS GOD. That is why Jesus said in John 8:58 “Before Abraham was, I AM”. God the Son only exists in the realms of fairytale fantasy and goat-theologies of culturally Greek religious commentaries.

As a man, Jesus lived in the presence of Holy Spirit power where the true salvation of overcoming victory was guaranteed. This was because, through the covenant of blood, God had promised Abraham that “Your son shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in your son shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice” and God promised David that “I will set up your son after you, which shall proceed out of your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son”. Jesus’ prayer to be glorified was fulfilled by God at Jesus’ ascension and glorification which occurred prior to the Day of Pentecost. It was confirmed in Acts 3:13 “The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go”. Jesus was glorified on to the throne of his father David. Jesus’ glorification was confirmed by the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:14-17 “The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the sons of God: And if sons, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ [the Anointed One]; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together [with him].” Jesus was not glorified for himself, for Jesus is God who lives eternally enthroned within the shekhinah glory of unapproachable light. As a man, he was glorified as the Son of David on to the throne of his father David so that the people of Israel who crucified him and who repented from the simply superior marvellous me pride that nailed him to the cross could be joint heirs with him and be glorified together with him onto the same throne of overcoming kingdom victory. However, Jesus is also sitting on the throne of God. That is why it says in Psalm 110:1 “The LORD [Yehovah] said unto my Lord [Adon], Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool”. Jesus is both Yehovah God, and also Adon Lord. It says in John 7:37-39 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”. The Spirit was given on the Day of Pentecost. Because the Spirit has now been given, now is the time to drink!

After Jesus had risen from the dead, he regularly appeared to his disciples for forty days speaking about the Kingdom of God. He told his disciples not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for the promise of the Father. The promise of the Father is the Father, it’s God’s glorious gift of himself by his Holy Spirit to enable Jesus’ disciples to be called by the name the Sons of God. Jesus said in Acts 1:5,8 “For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days hence. But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. To be a witness to Jesus means to become like him in every way. It means to be healed like he was healed when he rose from the dead. It means to be filled with the Holy Spirit like he was baptized with the Holy Spirit when he was baptized by John in the Jordan River. It means to be lifted up in the Spirit to sit in heavenly realms and to sit with him on the throne of his glory. That is why Jesus said in Revelation 3:21 “To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne”. The word overcome meant the true salvation of living in overcoming victory. It had nothing to do with praying the sinner’s prayer and looking forward to a fairy tale happily ever after pie in the sky salvation. The word saved meant to be given the true salvation of victory over sin, the prideful sinning nature of Cain, sickness, the world, selfishness and the devil. That is why it says in Revelation 12:10-11 “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”. The devil has no legal right to accuse those who have been washed from their sinning by acknowledging that it was their simply superior marvellous me pride that shed the blood of the Lamb on the cross. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. With their hearts they believed, and they were justified, with the testimony of their mouths they confess that Jesus is Adon, Lord, and they are saved. Their testimony is the declaration that what God did for Jesus when he rose Jesus from the dead, God did for them. The word Jesus in Hebrew is Yehoshua which means I AM your victory. It is Jesus’ identity as the Son of God that he gives to those who are baptized into him and into his death. By being baptized into his death and submitting to his lordship over every aspect of their lives, they die to their own identity as the sons of Adam, just like Father Abraham did centuries ago. This identity gives them the saving anointing; to be baptized by the Holy Spirit like he was and to live in the presence of Holy Spirit blood borne power where victory is absolutely guaranteed. It is absolutely guaranteed because God swore by himself when he made that promise to Abraham. That absolute guarantee means that God as a Father does for them what he did for Jesus. Why? Because when the innocent and precious blood of Jesus on guilty hands is applied to their prideful sinning judgmental hearts, their hearts become humbled, broken, contrite, cut or pierced and ready to receive the gift of God’s Holy Spirit poured out on the Day of Pentecost. This brings them under the fulfilment of the corporate covenant-covering or blood-covered umbrella of the sovereign grace or unmerited and unearned favour of the blessing of Abraham. That is why John says in 1 John 3:2 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is”. Those that are baptized into Jesus’ death will live in the power of his resurrection life. God delights to do for them what he did for Jesus when he rose Jesus from the dead. That means that everything that belongs to Jesus automatically belongs to them. That is the word of the testimony of their redeemed hearts. This includes freedom from the simply superior marvellous me prideful nature of the murdering Cain, sin, sickness and the devil, and includes the paradise of God’s fatherhood, the Holy Spirit filling their hearts. When they die physically, they will one day rise from the dead and truly inherit eternal life. Their Holy Spirit inspired behaviour in life will become their glorious Holy Spirit inheritance in resurrection. This is their hope of glory.

It says in Acts 2:1-4 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”. This happened during the Feast of Weeks, a celebration of the harvest when Jerusalem was filled with devout men from every nation. The hearts of the disciples were filled with the Pentecostal paradise of God, and they could not help but speak out the shekhinah glory that now dwelt within them. They did this in different languages or tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them the words. The people were amazed and asked what it meant. However, the religious scoffers, poisoned by the pride of their great I am hearts, just laughed and said that they were drunk on wine. The coming of the Holy Spirit was an amazing fulfilment of divine words spoken by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through prophets long ago and was something that had been longed for by many kings and prophets who never lived to see its fulfilment. Peter replied to the scoffers in Acts 2:15-18 saying “For these are not drunken, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy”. Peter said that Jesus had been raised from the dead as predicted by David in Psalm 16 and that Jesus as the Son of David had been glorified and exalted onto the throne of his father David. Peter said regarding the promise of the Father in Acts 2:33-35 “Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he says himself, The LORD [Yehovah] said unto my Lord [Adon], Sit you on my right hand, Until I make your enemies your footstool”. Peter told the people of Israel that they had crucified slain Jesus their Lord and Messiah, and they were distraught. The innocent blood of Jesus upon their guilty hands had cut them to their hearts. They asked Peter what they should do. Peter said in Acts 2:38-39 “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call”. Originally, only certain people were anointed by God for a special purpose; people like David the shepherd boy so he could slay Goliath and become a conquering king, people like Samuel, Isaiah and Jeremiah the prophets so they could declare the living words of God, and Abraham, Issac and Jacob so that they could inherit the promises of God. God loves individuals but works in corporate totalities. Cain is the first fruit of fallen humanity and everyone apart from Jesus has, if provoked, the same capacity to bear the evil fruit of murder if provoked. It was the corporate totality of the pride-poisoned simply superior marvellous me sinning nature of Cain, the original son of man, that crucified the Son of God, just as Cain murdered his brother Abel because of offended pride. The Pentecostal promise of the Holy Spirit is the promise of a saving anointing for all who accept responsibility and repent from their part in the pride that crucified and slayed the Son of God, even those that were not even born when Jesus was murdered. God poured out the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost so that everyone who repents and believes can be forgiven for the pride that murdered the Son of God and live in Holy Spirit kingdom power. They are forever victorious over sin, the prideful Cain nature, sickness, death and the devil. Everyone can how share in Jesus’ identity or name as the Son of God and with the glory of God dwelling in their hearts live in the hope of being glorified together with Jesus, forever. That is why Peter said to the men of Israel just after the Day of Pentecost in Acts 3:25-26 “You are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in your seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities”. God made a covenant with Abraham and his seed or Son that all the families of the earth would be blessed. This is the grace, unmerited favour or covenant-covering or anointing or umbrella of the blessing of Pentecost, the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This blessing turns people from their wicked ways by giving them a new redeemed humble sinless nature and God’s glorious gift of Himself, eternal life. This in turn automatically and increasingly brings the kingdom power of forgiveness of sin, healing of diseases and the fullness of the Spirit into people’s redeemed hearts, first the blade, then the ear, then the full head of corn or wheat in the ear. That is why Peter says in 2 Peter 1:1-4 “Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power has given to us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust”. Through the righteousness of God, Peter had received the like precious faith. Because of the blood of the Lamb of God, the anointing that Peter received on the Day of Pentecost had given him all things that pertain to life and godliness. Peter had been called into God’s glory and virtue and had been given the fulfilment God’s great and precious promises that had been spoken to both Abraham and king David. On the Day of Pentecost, Jesus’ disciples and those who repented from the pride that crucified him were made partakers of the divine nature and escaped the corruption of the world caused by lust.

Peter and John went to the temple to pray, and they displayed God’s glory by healing a lame man in Jesus’ name who had never walked. This is because Peter and John had received the same saving anointing that Jesus had both received when he was baptized in the Jordan River and had received from God as a Father to pour out on all flesh once he had been glorified onto the throne of his father, David. All the people were amazed but Peter said regarding the name of Jesus in Acts 3:16 “And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know: yea, the faith which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all”. The man that was lame was part of the corporate Cain who shared in Cain’s original simply superior marvellous me prideful sinning nature and was part of a fallen kingdom subject of sin, sickness, Satan and ultimately death. It says in Acts 4:11-12 “This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”. God loves individuals but deals in corporate totalities. In Hebrew, the word for build was banah, and was related to the word ben or son in Hebrew meaning the life of the house. Why is this important? Because the son builds the house of his father and the life of the father dwells within the heart of the son to bring forth fruit after the father’s kind. Those that are baptized into Jesus’ death become living stones together with him in the power of resurrection life. They are part of Jesus’ totality, they become the Father’s house, and God lives within the habitation of their hearts by the power of his Holy Spirit. They must be saved from pride, sin, sickness, Satan and death. He istheir true salvation. That is why the lame man had to be healed, saved and delivered. Peter said in Acts 3:6 “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk”. It was not about individual prayers, or individual beliefs or the individual situations. It was not about Peter or John or their individual identities as Apostles. It was not about the creeds, rituals, rites, ceremonies, spells, incantations or observances of the marvellous established church orthodoxy that brings nothing except the empty promise of being saved from hell when you are dead. It is because of the promises that God swore by Himself to Abraham and gave to David. God made covenant promises to both Abraham and David regarding the real Jesus as their heir, that Jesus would possess the gates of the enemies of pride, sin, sickness, Satan and death, and that God would establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

So, what about you? Someone once sang, limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns, it calls me on and on. God has limitless undying love for you, and that love calls you on and on. This has nothing whatsoever to do with shackles of the prideful selfish individuality of religious tradition and creeds and dogma of the orthodox hypocrisy of the church establishment that binds the grace of God and sends people away empty handed. God loves individuals but deals in corporate totalities. Forgiveness of sin, healing of diseases and the fullness of the Holy Spirit are all given freely to those who repent from the simply superior murderous not marvellous pride that nailed Jesus to the cross and humbly come under Abraham’s umbrella by sharing in Jesus’ corporate totality. Because Jesus (Yeshua) is in paradise, your heart can be too, and your faith can be perfected in the glorious shekhinah presence of the paradise of God’s Holy Spirit. The religion of established church tradition teaches that a heavenly paradise is somewhere that people go when they die. For some that may be true, but the true paradise of God is the shekhinah glory of the where God dwells now and that can be within your heart today. We live in the now and so does God. If you are truly baptized or filled with the Holy Spirit, the paradise of God will dwell in the Holy Spirit habitation of your heart just like the Holy Spirit dwells within Jesus’ heart. Jesus as a man has a perfect knowledge of the love and faithfulness of God as a Father. God wants to impart that same knowledge to you. You can share in Jesus’ name, his character, his personality, his anointing, his Holy Spirit, his Father, his destiny and amazingly, his glory. You can share in Jesus’ corporate identity as a Son of God. If that is true for you, as Jesus (Yeshua) once said, today you will be with me in paradise. Why? Because the glorious shekhinah presence of the personal paradise of God can dwell within the habitation of your heart, in the now. If it does, that is your hope of glory, forever.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank you that you came in the person of Jesus as the incarnation of God to pray that I might be glorified with your glory, the glory that you originally breathed into my heart when you created me in Adam but that was lost by Adam at the Fall. Thank you for praying that your love will be within my heart and that you Yourself will be the glory in my heart by the power of your Holy Spirit, forever. In the name of Yeshua the Messiah, please lead me by your Holy Spirit to fulfil all of the covenant conditions required for my heart to be eternally immersed into the shekhinah glory of the paradise of your personal presence, filling my heart with unending oceans of timeless liquid love, forever.
